Group Hug is the revival of an anonymous confessions site that ran from 2003 to 2009. Nearly half a million people wrote something they couldn’t say anywhere else. That archive lives here, alongside new entries.
The idea is simple: anyone can anonymously confess to anything, and knowing someone will read it feels, somehow, good.
No account. No ad tracking. We store the text you wrote, the date, a vote fingerprint to prevent duplicate reactions, and lightweight aggregate analytics to understand how the site is used.

No names, phone numbers, addresses, or anything that could out someone else.
Paste-a-URL posts get rejected automatically.
That’s the whole thing. Not every confession has to be heavy.
